Goalkeeper Plays 90-Minute Soccer Game with Bullet Lodged in Head

An amateur goalkeeper in Sarajevo played a 90-minute soccer game with a bullet lodged in his head.

According to reports, 51-year-old Duško Krtalica was playing in a tournament “when he complained of a headache.” He thought he had the headache because he hit his head on the goalpost while making a save.

It turns out a bullet had fallen from the sky into his head, unbeknownst to him. After he “complained of a stiff arm and had difficulty speaking” after the game, he was rushed to a hospital, where shocked doctors discovered “a 9mm bullet was clearly lodged in his skull.”

The goalie is now in stable condition.

Local police suspect a bullet fired in celebration after a wedding unfortunately fell from the sky and into his head during the match.

The goalkeeper gave up only one goal in the game.
