On Thursday, FIFA banned Uruguan superstar Luis Suarez for nine international games and four months from all soccer-related activities for biting an Italian defender on Tuesday.

Uruguay plays Colombia on Saturday in the knockout stage, and they will be without their best player.

It was the third time in Suarez’s career that he has bitten a player. Suarez has also made racist comments to a black player in the Barclays Premier League in England.

At its press conference, FIFA also reportedly announced that “Suarez is prohibited from entering any stadium for the four months” and has been fined 100,000 Swiss francs, which is about $111,838.

In Uruguay’s 1-0 win over Italy, Suarez bit Giorgio Chiellini and “Chiellini immediately stood up and showed what appeared to be bite marks to the official. No call was made on the play. Uruguay scored the decisive goal a minute after the incident.”
