White House: Obama May Still Act on Immigration by End of Summer

Monday at the White House press briefing, press secretary Josh Earnest said several times he had no update on the timing of President Barack Obama potentially using an executive order to grant amnesty for an estimated 6 million illegal immigrants currently living in the United States.

Earnest said, “In terms of the timing we will have to wait and see.”

“There is a chance it could be before the end of summer there is a chance it could be after the summer,” he added. “[The] president’s determination to act and his commitment has not changed.”
