Retirement Community Board Votes 'No' on Marine alongside American Flag

The board of directors for a Georgia retirement community have voted not to change a rule which restricts Marine Capt. Jim Lowe to fly Marine Corps battle colors along with the American flag.

Lowe learned of the vote on August 26. And because of it, he can fly his American flag or his Marine Corps battle colors–but not both.

According to Fox News, Lowe was proudly flying both flags in July when he said he “received a code violation notice from [community] management informing him that he and his wife would face fines of $25 a day and a possible lien on his home if he did not remove one of the flags.”

Following the board’s decision not to change the code so that he can fly Marine Corps battle colors beside the American flag, Lowe said he and his wife have no option but to pack up and move; folding up the Marine Corps battle colors is not an option.

Breitbart News salutes Lowe’s service to our country and the unabashed pride he takes in being part of the USMC.
