President Obama brought actor Kal Penn on his trip to India, to help the White House produce a special video about his trip.

The actor, famous for his stoner comedies in the Harold and Kumar series, traveled with the president aboard Air Force One, hailed the historic visit and filmed a video in an three-wheeled rickshaw.

“Who doesn’t love democracy?” Penn asked. “Well I can think of some people who don’t love democracy, but we’re not talking about those people today.”

Penn pointed out that Obama continued dialogue with India about combatting climate change and working for cleaner air and public health.

He also highlighted Obama for filming a video on Air Force One about preserving the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Penn is a former Obama staffer. He worked in the White House Office of Public Engagement for about a year before returning to Hollywood. He is currently a member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities.
