On September 13 an allegedly home invader stabbed a resident with a knife, only to be shot and later discovered hiding in a closet in a nearby apartment.

The incident occurred in Florence Township, New Jersey.

According to the Courier-Post, police say 42-year-old Robert Marshal allegedly entered a home on Shaver Drive “through an open garage door around 1 a.m.” One of the residents confronted Marshal, and was then joined by other residents in an effort to get Marshal out of the house.

In the ensuing struggle one of the residents was stabbed and Marshal was shot. Marshal then fled and a police K-9 found him “nearly 12 hours later hiding in a closet at the Florence Tollgate Place apartment complex.”

He was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening wounds and charged with “weapons offenses and obstruction.” He is being held on $200,000 bail.

The wounds of the resident who was stabbed were also non-life threatening.
