Sean Spicer Brings Back On-Camera White House Briefing

White House press secretary Sean Spicer will hold the daily press briefing on-camera Tuesday, according to guidance sent to journalists.

Spicer made his decision Tuesday morning after CNN vocally protested his tradition of conducting some press briefings off-camera.

CNN’s White House reporter Jim Acosta, Spicer’s most vocal critic, repeatedly questioned his decision on Monday during an off-camera briefing.

“Some days, we’ll have them, and some days we won’t,” Spicer told journalists when asked about video cameras during the briefing, saying he reserved the right to let the president be the only person from the administration on-camera on certain days.

Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will join Spicer for the briefing Tuesday to discuss the administration’s commitment to energy development and production.
