Sunday evening’s Super Bowl 50 halftime show featured a tribute montage of previous Super Bowl performers including Prince, Michael Jackson, and U2’s Bono — but one infamous “wardrobe malfunction” was notably not included.
The montage set to Coldplay’s “Fix You” featured snippets of iconic Super Bowl performances from James Brown, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen. But Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s 2004 halftime performance — during which Timberlake ripped part of Jackson’s outfit, exposing her nipple on live TV — was nowhere to be found.
The montage also left out Madonna, the Who, and Katy Perry’s memorable “left shark.”
Twitter users were quick to point out the oversight:
They didn't show JT and Janet in that Super Bowl montage. Those who deny history are doomed to repeat it…and that would be awesome.

Hey where are Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson in this montage? How rude! #SuperBowl

Um, I'm guessing we aren't going to see the Timberlake/Jackson nipple incident in this montage. Pity. #SuperBowl

No nip slip replay in the halftime show montage? #SuperBowl

Why aren't they showing Janet Jackson's Super Bowl in the montage?

Left shark gets no love in the montage of Super Bowl halftime acts prior?

Notice that JT wasn't in that #SuperBowl montage. It's about time he had a chance to redeem himself.

No @JanetJackson in the montage? Must've been some kind of a slip. #SB50
