9-Year-Old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Rocks ‘Einstein Was a Refugee’ T-Shirt

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is apparently taking a style cue from her activist mother Angelina Jolie.

The nine-year-old daughter of Brad and Angelina was photographed accompanying her mother and two of her siblings at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday night, wearing a shirt reading, “Einstein was a refugee.”

Shiloh was at LAX with her older sister Zahara, 11, and Pax, 12, as the trio accompanied their actress mother on a flight to London, according to the New York Daily News.

In addition to acting and directing, Jolie serves as a special envoy to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and has been outspoken about the plight and treatment of refugees from areas like Syria and Iraq.

In January, Jolie visited Iraq, where she urged world leaders to take decisive action against ISIS. In April, the actress briefed the UN Security Council in New York, where she urged world leaders to come to the aid of displaced Syrian refugees.

“We cannot look at Syria, and the evil that has arisen from the ashes of indecision, and think this is not the lowest point in the world’s ability to protect and defend the innocent,” she said at the time. “We are standing by in Syria.”

Last summer, Shiloh accompanied her mother on a visit to refugee camps in Lebanon and Turkey.

“Shiloh is very aware that I hold refugee families in high regard and has been asking to come on missions and meet them for many years,” Jolie told People magazine at the time. “It was wonderful that they were able to meet, play together, and make friends. So many refugees are children. I’ve often heard them say that the most painful thing is not that they have lost their homes – it is that they have lost their friends.”

Jolie most recently directed the marital drama By the Sea, in which she starred alongside husband Brad Pitt, and she is rumored to appear next in a sequel to her 2014 hit Maleficent.
