WATCH: F-35 Stealth Fighters to Join Israel’s Independence Day Air Show

TEL AVIV – New F-35  stealth fighters will debut as part of the annual Independence Day air show in the skies across Israel on Tuesday, the Hebrew news site Walla reported.

The Israeli Air Force, which named the planes “Adir,” first received a pair of the Lockhead Martin jets in December. Three more landed last week at Nevatim Airbase in the Negev and another four are slated to arrive by the end of 2017.

“Our war is not just about missiles targeting other missiles, but about information,” an unnamed senior IAF officer told Walla. “Those who are able to procure the most accurate information in the shortest time will win the next war.”

“The F-35 has extremely precise, powerful weaponry that is also far reaching,” he added.

In total, Israel will receive 50 planes over the next few years to form two squadrons.
