A woman wept as she admitted killing her two babies while suffering from post-natal depression at the Old Bailey Tuesday.
Felicia Boots, 35, killed Mason, aged nine weeks, and Lily, 14 months, whose bodies were found at the family home in Wandsworth, south London, in May.
Her husband Jeff, an investment banker, discovered the bodies lying side-by-side on the floor. The couple are Canadian.
Boots will be detained at a psychiatric unit after pleading guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
She told the court that the deaths of her children “troubles me more than anyone will ever know.”
“May 9, 2012, is a day I will be eternally sorry for. It should never have happened,” she said in a statement, read out to the court by her lawyer.
“It troubles me more than anyone will ever know. Part of me will always be missing. I am a good person. I am a good mum and I never meant any of this to happen. I am truly sorry.”
