At least 13 killed in Iraq violence: officials

Fighting in northern Iraq killed nine police Friday, while a car bomb targeting worshippers near a Sunni mosque north of Baghdad left four dead, security and medical officials said.

The police were killed in clashes with armed men in the northern city of Mosul, while the car bomb exploded in the Rashidiyah area as worshippers were leaving Friday prayers, they said.
