Cory Remekun scored a career-high 15 points, Cody Ellis had 13 and Saint Louis beat No. 20 New Mexico 60-46 on Monday.

Mike McCall Jr. added 12 points for Saint Louis (10-3), which has won seven in a row.

Kendall Williams led New Mexico (13-2) with 15 points. Alex Kirk added 13 points and eight rebounds.

New Mexico coach Steve Alford was ejected after receiving back-to-back technicals with 9:26 left in the game. It was Alford’s first ejection in his six seasons with the Lobos.

The Billikens’ seven-game winning streak is their longest since they won eight in a row in 2003. They also improved to 10-1 at home.

Saint Louis used runs of 12-0 and 11-2 to build a 31-12 lead. Rob Loe scored five points in the first surge, including a 3-pointer. Five different players contributed to the second streak. Ellis keyed the spurt with a 3-pointer.

New Mexico did not have a field goal over the final 6:57 of the opening half. The Lobos missed nine of their first 12 shots and finished the half 5 for 19. Their first-half total of 13 points was their lowest since March 18, 2005, when they trailed Villanova 34-11 in the NCAA tournament.

The Lobos committed a season-high 21 turnovers. They turned the ball over 15 times on their first 28 possessions.

Saint Louis led 33-13 at the break. New Mexico closed to 38-29 on a jumper by Williams with 13:29 left. But the Billikens responded with a 14-2 run to regain control.

The Lobos beat Saint Louis 64-40 in a New Year’s Eve meeting last season in Albuquerque.

New Mexico was coming off a 55-54 win at then-No. 8 Cincinnati on Thursday.

The Billikens, who trailed 3-0, had led from start to finish in their previous three games.
