LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10 (UPI) — FX has canceled Denis Leary’s half-hour comedy Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll after two seasons, due to low ratings.
Variety reported the news Friday, but noted the network has not made an official announcement yet.
Leary — the show’s creator, star and executive producer — took to Twitter Saturday after the story broke.
“Hope u guys had as much fun as we did @sdrr @LizGillies @elaine4animals @robertkelly @IAmJohnAles @RealJohnCorbett,” he tweeted.
“The bad news? @sdrr is dead. Good news? @AtlantaFX by @DonaldsDad @BetterthingsFX by @pamelaadlon are both [expletive] brilliant,” reads another post.
Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll co-starred John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix, Robert Kelly and John Ales.
