COCKBURN TOWN, Turks and Caicos Islands, July 19 (UPI) — Turks and Caicos isn’t the worst place to relax before hitting the NFL season grind.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston also learned it isn’t a bad place to reveal a leaner physique and show off off-season dedication.

Winston has lost about 20 pounds since last season, his father told ESPN. On Monday, Winston’s trainer Tim Grover posted a side-by-side comparison of his client on Instagram. Grover also trained Michael Jordan.

“For #Jameis @jaboowins3 there has been no offseason,” Grover wrote. “You want extraordinary results, you need an extraordinary work ethic. Our work continues. #RESULTS#RELENTLESS #NoOffseason #buccaneers #attackathletics #timgrover.”

The first photo of Winston is from 2015. In the photo, he is training while shirtless, but sporting some extra pounds above the belt. The photo on the right shows a much slimmer and leaner Winston, as he enjoys himself in the ocean.

Grover has posted other videos on Instagram of his off-season journey with Winston.

The Buccaneers report to training camp on July 27. Last month, Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter told Monday Morning Quarterback he would give Winston more responsibility in his sophomore season.

“Jameis is a good communicator at the line, good at the no-huddle, studies like a wild man, and that’s what we love about him,” Koetter told MMQB. “I trust my judgment, and I trust the judgment of our coaches. We’re around Jameis every day, and we know what he’s capable of.”

In April, Winston’s teammate Johnthan Banks told Pewter Report that Winston looks like a defensive back.

“This guy was fat last year,” Banks told Zach Shapiro. “He came back looking like a DB. You can tell Jameis worked his tail off.”

Winston, 22, completed 312-of-535 passes for 4,042 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions last season. He also rushed for 210 yards and six scores.
