Siegfried & Roy to introduce their four new tiger cubs in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 12 (UPI) — Entertainers Siegfried & Roy are to introduce the newest additions to their animal family Saturday in Las Vegas.

Four six-week-old tiger cubs will make their first appearance at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage Hotel & Casino.

These are the first tiger cubs welcomed at The Mirage in five years. The adorable babies — Liberty, Justice, Hirah and Maharani — were born on Aug. 5 to mother Indira and father Svengali.

Siegfried & Roy are German-American, retired stage magicians known for using tigers in their acts.

Roy Horn was seriously injured and left partially paralyzed in 2003 when he was bitten in the neck by a 600-pound tiger during a show at The Mirage. Horn, 70, and his partner Siegfried Fischbacher, 76, have maintained that Horn was not attacked, but rather suffered a stroke on stage, prompting the tiger to pick him up and move him to safety.
