Oct. 19 (UPI) — White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was scheduled to give an on-camera daily press briefing Thursday afternoon.
She was expected to answer reporters’ questions at 3 p.m. EDT.
Sanders likely will face questions about Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló’s visit to the White House to meet with President Donald Trump. The governor said he plans to push the federal government for debt relief and disaster aid for the hurricane-ravaged island.
Prior to the briefing, Trump was scheduled to meet with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. In the evening, the president is expected to attend a gala dinner honoring first lady Melania Trump at the Kuwaiti Embassy.
