Wistful, humorous Romney looks back as he ponders ’16

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mitt Romney still says he’s thinking about running for president again in 2016.

But he’s doing his best not to tip his hand.

At Mississippi State University on Wednesday, Romney acted like a candidate when he shook hands and posed for pictures at a local barbecue joint. He also used a speech later in the evening to hammer President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who could be the Democrats’ nominee in 2016.

He called Clinton’s foreign policy “clueless” and blasted her economic credentials.

But Romney also talked about his presidential campaign experience as if it were in the past. He told several stories and made observations about his 2012 campaign, using it to encourage students to make a difference and keep life in perspective.
