Former Premier Hasina Wins Bangladesh Polls

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina has won a massive parliamentary majority in Bangladesh’s first polls in seven years. A Bangladeshi Election Commissioner said the poll was free, fair and peaceful. But analysts say the landslide for the alliance led by former prime minister Sheikh Hasina could prove problematic, raising expectations that she can deliver on all of her election promises.
