'Clear Pass' Lanes Shut Down at Airports

Indy Star: Clear launched in January 2007 as a system that would allow some travelers to move more quickly through security. Customers use a biometric card to identify themselves. The receipt is then shown to Transportation Security Administration staff, who continue to check carry-on luggage and other items for metal and explosives.
