Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton got in a spirited debate with Fox Business Network’s “The Independents” co-anchors Kennedy, Kmele Foster, and Matt Welch on Monday’s episode. The discussion on Iraq escalated when Bolton stated, “It is stunning to me to see you libertarians defending that dictatorship.”
This touched off an argument between Bolton and Welch over the writings of George Orwell. Bolton then challenged the panel to explain why they wanted Saddam Hussein back in power, and accused Foster of lying about the number of deaths in Iraq. This prompted Kennedy to angrily ask Bolton for his figures regarding the number of deaths in Iraq. When Bolton stated that the blame for the chaos in Iraq is due to President Barack Obama’s mismanagement, Kennedy exclaimed “that is nonsense!”
