Ray Rice on NFL Comeback: ‘I’m Hopeful’

Former Baltimore Ravens running back and now free agent Ray Rice told TMZ Sports Sunday that he is still hoping for another opportunity in the NFL.

Rice, 28, has been out of the league since he was released by the Ravens in September of 2014 after a video emerged of him punching and then dragging his then-fiancée Janay Palmer, who he is now married to, out of an elevator.

“Honestly, I’m never going to give up. You don’t want to give up something you started. You want to finish the right way,” he said.

Rice is now working for the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl as a co-running backs coach for NFL draft-eligible college players.
