Bradley Cooper was spotted in the audience Wednesday night at the Democratic National Convention, which caught some fans of the Oscar-nominated American Sniper actor off-guard.
Upon seeing Cooper’s mug among the room full of Hillary Clinton loyalists, a few of his conservative fans took to Twitter to air their frustration and confusion.
Realllll disappointed to see Bradley Cooper at the DNC. But, oh well.

What is apparently mystifying for a few Cooper admirers, as evidenced by the social media missives above, is the fact that the 41-year-old actor snagged the aforementioned Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of Navy SEAL sniper and American icon Chris Kyle in the 2014 blockbuster film American Sniper.
Some conservatives were surprised to see Cooper attend the Democrat gathering, even though the actor donated to Hillary Clinton’s failed 2008 presidential campaign. Left-leaning media outlets quickly pounced, gleefully reporting that conservatives were “upset” by Cooper’s attendance.
“Republicans Are Very Upset That ‘American Sniper’ Star Bradley Cooper Is at the DNC” is how the left-leaning Daily Beast put it.
“A Navy SEAL AND a Democrat? Bradley Cooper’s appearance at the DNC upsets conservative fans who thought he was a Republican after role in American Sniper” is how the progressive Daily Mail presented the story.
“Bradley Cooper attends DNC, upsets some conservative ‘American Sniper’ fans” was the headline over at philly.com
However, it is hard to tell the difference between genuine anger and sarcasm when looking at the tweets critical of the star.
