Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) revealed a man asked if there were Republicans or Democrats at a baseball field in Alexandria, VA shortly before a shooting took place resulting in House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), a congressional aide and two Capitol Police officers being shot.
DeSantis said he was asked that question just as he and Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) were departing.
“[A]s I was getting into the car with one of my colleagues, Jeff Duncan, there was a guy that walked up to us that was asking whether there was Republicans or Democrats out there,” he said. “And it was just a little odd and then he kind of walked toward the area where all this happened.”
