Friday afternoon, billionaire Donald Trump fired off a tweet attacking the Writers of New York Magazine as “dishonest.” Trump added that he enjoys watching the magazine fail. Within just a few minutes, Dan Amira, whose verified twitter account identifies him as a senior editor at New York Magazine, lashed out at Trump by tweeting, “Your wife is waiting for you to die.”

This is just another example of the shocking escalation in violent rhetoric and hate speech the political right has been experiencing at the hands of the mainstream media, of late.
