Suspect Sought in Massachusetts for Shots Fired at Police Cruiser

A suspect in Massachusetts is being sought after allegedly opening fire on a police cruiser.

The incident took place in the town of Millis.

According to My Fox Boston, “an officer was checking on a disabled vehicle when he was shot at 3 times,” crashing the cruiser thereafter. The incident occurred around 3 p.m.

Police describe the suspect as “a white man who is driving a dark colored, possibly maroon, pickup.” Authorities believe the alleged gunman “the only person in the truck and headed toward Medfield.”

Shortly after the attack Massachusetts State Police put out this release:

State Police patrols from Troops H and C have responded to assist in the search for the suspect, as has a helicopter from our Air Wing. Additionally, State Police detectives, K9 units, crime scene technicians, ballistics technicians, and fire investigators are en route to the scene to assist.
