A Jefferson County, Alabama, home invasion suspect was shot and killed after allegedly entering a home and fighting with the homeowner.

The incident occurred Friday around 10:30 pm.

According to AL.com, the homeowner was in the back room of his home talking with a friend when two armed suspects allegedly burst through the door. A struggle ensued and the homeowner was hit over the head with one of the guns. At some point, the gun was fired at one of the suspects, killing him on the scene. The second suspect fled to a waiting car.
