Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump delivered Jimmy Fallon his biggest Friday ratings boost in 18 months.

Trump’s Friday night appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show was full of laughs, but Fallon and NBC got the last one, as the New York billionaire and GOP frontrunner helped the network close out a competitive week with rival CBS.

Variety reports NBC scored  a 3.6 /9 result in metered market ratings, while CBS’s The Late Show ended up at 2.8/7.

Jimmy Fallon’s audience grew every night in metered-market households for three consecutive nights and beat The Late Show in metered-market households for the first time.

The Tonight Show also topped The Late Show in total viewers on Tuesday and Wednesday, nationally.

Friday’s broadcast was Fallon’s best for an end-of-week since Feb. 28, 2014, shortly after his debut as the show’s host.

Colbert will have his chance to sit down with Trump on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
