Anti-RNC Protesters Hunt for Breitbart’s Brandon Darby in Cleveland

Leftists are once again searching for Breitbart Texas’ Managing Director Brandon Darby who is on assignment covering the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Darby is frequently on the radar of leftist activists after his work with the FBI in helping disrupt plans of violence against Republicans at the 2008 convention in Minnesota.

A Twitter user claiming to be “Anonymous,” with over one million followers, @YourAnonNews, tweeted a photo of Darby and a message saying “If you spot the #RNC snitches, tweet their location and tag #ResistRNC.”

The tweet references an article on Medium warning activists to stay away from Darby. It reminds readers of Darby’s work as an FBI confidential informant leading up to the 2008 RNC convention. That work led to the arrest of two individuals planning violent incidents against Republican delegates at that convention.

Following attacks on Darby from the left, Andrew Breitbart came to Darby’s side and called him “an American hero.”  “In Brandon Darby, Andrew Breitbart found a fighter; someone that other conservatives had simply ignored,” Lee Stranahan wrote following Breitbart’s untimely death. “When Andrew met people for the first time, he didn’t assume the worst of them based on their race, background, sexual orientation or stated, current ideology.”

Stranahan continued:

A little backstory is in order. Andrew Breitbart famously hated bullies and two young men named David McKay and Bradley Crowder are the ultimate bullies. McKay and Crowder were leftist anarchists who made decision after decision to terrorize the people attending the 2008 Republican National Convention. They traveled to the RNC in Minneapolis with homemade weapons and once there, they made Molotov cocktails.

Luckily, the group had been infiltrated by an undercover FBI informant named Brandon Darby, who was instrumental in stopping McKay and Crowder from doing any real harm. At the time, Darby was a hero to the radical left and a legend for his work feeding people in New Orleans after Katrina. In order to help convict McKay and Crowder, he revealed his law enforcement work. By helping the justice system in the conviction of these anarchist thugs, Darby became a wanted man on the left.

In this newly unearthed footage, Breitbart talks about meeting and mentoring Darby. Breitbart didn’t live to see the Boston Marathon bombing but his understanding of culture and media allow him to make a chillingly prescient statement about how the left puts their heroes on cover of Rolling Stone. If Darby had busted conservatives, the world would have been his oyster but because McKay and Crowder were committed leftists, Darby was subject to ostracization and death threats

The article referenced a posting from Darby earlier this year where he wrote, “If you know about someone planning violence at the RNC or DNC but are afraid to tell FBI, contact me. I’ll help. Bdarby@breitbart.com”

As of the time of this publication, the tweet by @YourAnonNews had been retweeted 122 times and had garnered 83 likes.

Another Twitter user, @freemybrains, tweeted another photo of Darby out to help with the hunt. “[I]n case you’re wondering what #snitch Brandon #darby look like at the #rnc… #FTP.” #FTP links back to a Twitter page for F*CKTHEPOPULATION.

No one seemed to care about @freemybrains tweet as the posting had only 1 like and no retweets.

Darby responded in kind and replied with a photo of the person who took his picture.

Another user, replied to @freemybrains message. @AsilisArt tweeted, “ Looks like a to normal people who don’t want to blow things up.”
