Politico: With Wall Deal Elusive in Congress, Path Clears for Trump Framing National Emergency Declaration on Border

Politico’s White House reporter, Nancy Cook, came out with a curious article on Thursday, laying out how, with Congress unlikely to approve any funding for President Donald Trump’s planned border wall, he should instead go the route of a national emergency declaration, and that it is Breitbart News that has been leading the way in framing the argument for such a declaration.

President Donald Trump speaks during a tour as he reviews border wall prototypes in San Diego. A relentless stream of U.S. policy shifts in 2018 has amounted to one of the boldest attacks on all types of immigration that the country has ever seen. Some see it as a tug-of-war …

Brandon Darby is in overalls, sitting on his wooden front porch, pulling a natural blend American Spirit to light up. He’s anxious. “She wasn’t treated very nicely,” the Breitbart Texas chief says through an exhale of smoke, rubbing a scruffy bearded chin with his palm. “She’s hot and cold. Sweet and aggressive. SHOCK: Arizona Paper Decries Border Fence as Too High for Mexicans to Safely Jump

A mainstream Arizona newspaper is decrying the small section of the Arizona-Mexico border that has a 14-foot-high primary fence because it is too high for illegal immigrants to safely cross. The article, “Border Fence Jumpers Breaking Bones,” includes the claim that sections of the border with a 14-foot-high fence are “as tall as a two or three-story house” and tells the stories of several women who broke bones and were treated extensively to healthcare and surgeries at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. The writer never mentions any lives directly lost as a result of there not being a border fence in most sections, such as when Mexican nationals crossed into the U.S. and murdered father and husband Robert Rosas, a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

Leaked Images: One Year Later, Border not Secure, Children Left in Limbo

One year ago, Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby shocked the world by revealing leaked images of immigrant children who were being warehoused in shoddy facilities after being smuggled into the United States from Central America. The more than forty leaked images changed the shape of the discussion of illegal immigration and revealed a cover-up by the Department of Homeland Security as to the severity of the surge of Central American immigrants into the U.S. Media outlets from across the globe republished the photos and forced the Administration to admit what was happening in South Texas.
