Election Fight Looms for Bruised British Politics

AFP: British politics has come through 2009 battered and bruised. Months of revelations about policy makers’ expenses, the worst recession in generations and an unpopular and deadly war in Afghanistan have all left their mark on the ruling Labour Party, which has a fight on its hands if it is to retain power at next year’s general election.
