Maher: Clinton Foundation ‘Stupidest Talking Point Media Falls for’ — ‘There Is No Pay for Play’

Friday on HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher accused Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump of stealing from his own charitable foundation.

However, when Trump adviser Stephen Moore invoked Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and the issues surrounding the Clinton Foundation, Maher immediately dismissed that controversy and declared there was no “pay for play” as far as Clinton was concerned.

Partial transcript as follows:

MAHER: He also steals from his own charity.

RYE: Then there’s that.

MOORE: Wait a minute, what about the Clinton Foundation? Come on. Oh my God, are you going to say Donald Trump is going steal from his —

MAHER: This is the stupidest talking point that the media falls for – that there’s something shady about the Clinton Foundation.

MOORE: What happened to all the money that was supposed to go to Haiti?

MAHER: Eighty-eight percent of what they take in goes to people –

MOORE: Oh my God.

MAHER: There is no pay for play because she was never paid.
