USA Manager Jim Leyland Dedicates World Baseball Classic Victory to the Troops

Before Wednesday’s World Baseball Classic championship against Puerto Rico, USA manager Jim Leyland said he was “trying to make America great again.”

His squad went on to blow out the Puerto Ricans 8-0, giving the US its first WBC title.

After the game, Leyland fought back tears as he dedicated the victory to the men and women who fight for the country.

“I got a chance to manage for our country, coaches got a chance to coach for our country, the players got a chance to play for our country, but you know what, this is for the people that serve our country,” Leyland said of his final game as a manager.
