Homan: ‘Disgusting’ Andrew Cuomo Calling ICE a ‘Bunch of Thugs’

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan said Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) is “disgusting” for calling Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “a bunch of thugs,” during a Democratic primary debate with his opponent, actress Cynthia Nixon.

On Wednesday night Cuomo said, “New York state is the state that is suing Donald Trump for ripping babies from the arms of their mothers, New York state is the state that says we will not cooperate with ICE, they’re a bunch of thugs … We said we will sue them if they violate any criminal laws in the state of New York.”

Homan said, “It is personal. I’m not going to sit here and call him names. I did that last night under my breath. What he is saying, his actions, are disgusting. To call ICE agents thugs, think about it, these are men and women who are fathers and mothers and brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, that chose to enforce laws in this country, strap a gun to their hip and put a bulletproof vest on and protect the community, he calls them thugs. ICE arrests thugs, MS-13 members, drug traffickers, we arrest over 5,000 criminal aliens off the street in New York, that many walked out of his sanctuary jails. Rather than call them thugs—I’m not asking anybody to give ICE agents slack—recognition of a difficult job they do every day to put their lives on—this country every day, that protect New York every day. He ought to be writing a thank you letter rather than calling them names. It’s ridiculous.”
