Harris on New Trump Immigration Rules: He Has ‘Ongoing Campaign’ ‘to Vilify a Whole Group of People’

On Monday’s “CNN Newsroom,” 2020 presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) reacted to the Trump administration’s new immigration regulations by stating that there is an “ongoing campaign…to vilify a whole group of people” by President Trump.

CNN Senior National Correspondent Kyung Lah asked, “The Trump administration released a regulation that could drastically cut the number of legal immigrants allowed to enter and stay in the U.S. by making it easier to reject green cards and visa applications, coupled with what we just saw out of Mississippi, the ICE operation there, what does this say to you?”

Harris responded, “Well, it’s just an ongoing campaign of his to vilify a whole group of people, to — as he does with so many things, be ignorant about the history of our country, who we are, how we were founded, and what our values are.”
