'Duck Dynasty' Stars Plan Duck Commander-Themed Bible for Holiday Season

The Duck Dynasty clan remains pop culture’s strongest advocate for the Good Book.

Now, two members of the reality show family are prepping the release of a “Duck Commander”-themed Bible in time for the holidays.

The new book, titled The Duck Commander Faith and Family Bible, will include a New King James version of the Bible, as well as 30 testimonials and 125 inspirational notes from Phil Robertson, patriarch of the Robertson family on A&E’s “Duck Dynasty,” and his son Alan Robertson, known as the “beardless brother” because he is the only male Robertson family member who lacks a long, burly beard.

statement from publisher Thomas Nelson says this Duck Commander-themed Bible will focus on the five main values of the Robertson family: faith, family, fellowship, forgiveness, and freedom. The 125 inspirational notes from Phil and Alan, who served as executive editors for the new book, will revolve around the aforementioned five values. The 30 testimonials from the father and son duo will include first-hand accounts of how Phil and Alan have seen themselves and others transformed by the Word of God.

The book, due Oct. 28, isn’t the first faith-based product from the A&E reality show. Books like The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family and Duck Built a Dynasty and Faith Commander: Living Five Values from the Parables of Jesus preceded it.

The show’s stars routinely explore faith in their work, and even when patriarch Phil Robertson’s Bible-based comments caused an outcry late last year for his take on homosexuality he didn’t apologize for his views.
