Rapper Wiz Khalifa Handcuffed at LAX for Refusing to Stop Riding ‘Hoverboard

Rapper Wiz Khalifa was seemingly slammed to the ground and handcuffed by police Saturday for refusing to step off of a “hoverboard” at an airport terminal, according to social media updates shared by the rapper.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon at Los Angeles International Airport, according to Time.

In the first video shared by the rapper on Twitter, Khalifa, real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz, can be seen arguing with police.

“This? I didn’t do nothing anyway,” the “See You Again” rapper tells the police. “What you want to do? Put me in jail because I didn’t listen to what you say? You can’t do nothing, we can have all the conversations you want to, you can end up on TMZ, destined to become as famous as you wanna be.”

A second video uploaded to Instagram and timestamped one minute after the preceding video shows Khalifa being handcuffed on the ground while at least two officers tell him to “stop resisting.”

“I’m not resisting, sir,” Khalifa can be heard telling the police.

On Twitter, the rapper wrote that the confrontation happened “all because I didn’t want to ditch the technology everyone will be using in the next 6 months.”

Neither the LAPD or Khalifa’s camp has commented yet on the incident.
