Before President Obama delivered his final State of the Union address Tuesday night, Washington D.C.-based rapper Wale took the stage and performed to a crowd at the WhiteHouse.gov’s #SOTU pre-show.

The rapper was also seen shaking hands with Vice President Joe Biden, who Obama tapped during his speech as the man “in charge of mission control” in America’s “Moon shot” mission to cure cancer.

Wale is no stranger to the White House or the Obama administration.

Last July, Wale partnered with the First Lady Michelle Obama to promote her education initiative “Reach Higher”.

Wale’s State of the Union performance comes just days after Kendrick Lamar walked around the White House with President Obama.
