Actress Lena Dunham sent Speaker of the House Paul Ryan a voicemail message Monday expressing how “disappointed” she is about President-elect Donald Trump’s appointment of Stephen Bannon as his chief strategist and senior counsel.

“I wanted to leave a message to let you know how disappointed so many of us are in the appointment of Steve Bannon,” Dunham said in the voicemail message Monday, which she recorded and posted in an Instagram video.

“I’m not sure you’re really going to listen to this, but I hope you do, because I want to let you know that as a woman, as a Jew, as a person who cares about other human beings, people of color, the idea of appointing an anti-Semitic white supremacist…” the Girls creator said before the voicemail message recorder cut her off.

“No, I’m not actually satisfied with my recording,” the audibly frustrated actress said.

Dunham, who was an active Hillary Clinton campaign surrogate, has not been shy about her disappointment after Clinton’s stunning defeat.

The 30-year-old New York native lashed out at self-hating “white women” who voted for Donald Trump.

“It’s painful to know that white women, so unable to see the unity of female identity, so unable to look past their violent privilege, and so inoculated with hate for themselves, showed up to the polls for him, too,” she wrote in an essay for her Lenny Letter blog published after the election.

“My voice was literally lost when I woke up, squeaky and raw, and I ached in the places that make me a woman, the places where I’ve been grabbed so carelessly, the places we are struggling to call our own.”

In her Instagram post, the actress encouraged her nearly three million Instagram followers to call the Wisconsin Republican, too.
