Ten thousand people packed into a Mississippi amphitheater on October 18, but not for a concert — for a revival event that saw nearly 1,400 people come to Christ.

Evangelical minister Rick Gage led a four-day crusade in Mississippi which brought out 17,000 people in total, but the true miracle took place on the final night of the revival tour. According to the Christian Index, an amazing number of people “committed their lives to Christ” at the Brandon Amphitheater near Jackson.

Gage, the leader of GO TELL Ministries in Duluth, told the outlet that over 2,000 people made decisions for Christ during the crusade. Of those, 1,354 made salvation decisions.

“We saw an incredible move of God throughout this whole campaign,” Gage said Thursday. “Anyone who says evangelistic outreach events don’t work anymore just needs to talk to the folks in central Mississippi.”

The event even caught the eye of Gov. Tate Reeves (R), who wrote on X: “This isn’t a photo from a concert or a party. This is from a revival event that happened a few nights ago right here in Mississippi.”

“God is working here, and He has truly blessed us!” the governor added.

In the days leading up to the revival, Gage toured Mississippi prisons where he saw “hundreds of inmates turn to Christ,” the Christian Index reported.

The minister attributed his crusade’s success to the collaboration of Jackson-area church leaders from different denominations who came together to help organize the event.

“They also had a prayer team bathing this crusade in prayer for months and months,” he said. “They had people in private prayer room praying throughout the crusade.”

Last month, Gage attracted a similarly huge audience during another four-day crusade in Baxley, Georgia, where 1,600 of the 10,000 attendees also made commitments to Christ.
