In a copycat attack reminiscent of Josef Fritzl, a Swedish doctor has been charged with kidnapping, drugging and raping a female hostage in a fortified dungeon-like bunker (pictured) for almost a week.

The 30-year-old woman was reportedly snatched from her home in Stockholm after being drugged with Rohypnol-laced strawberries. The soundproofed rooms prepared by her unnamed assailant were meant to hold his helpless victim while he raped her over and over, it is claimed.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported that the woman’s attacker used two rubber masks (see below), later found by police, to disguise himself during the subsequent car journey.

The doctor, who has not been named, reportedly intended to keep the victim captive for ‘several years’ in the purpose-built bunker that it is believed he began constructing more than five years ago.

According to reports in Sweden, the doctor kept the woman locked up for a week before he was caught.

Prosecutors believe he had also taken steps to create an underground dungeon, in which it is feared he would keep the woman locked up – ready for his sexual lust.

A police report said the walls were concrete enforced as 12.5 inches thick.

During the alleged attack, police claim the doctor took blood and intimate samples from the woman and tested them at his workplace for any traces of sexually transmitted diseases.

The incredible scheme was only brought to an end when the doctor went back to the woman’s flat to gather some belongings and spotted police in the area.

Friends of the woman had called police, and the doctor reportedly panicked and took her to a police station where he forced her to tell a phony story.

According to police, officers were concerned for the woman’s safety and pulled her to one side where she quickly told them about her alleged ordeal at the hands of the doctor.

Chief prosecutor Peter Claeson said: “We believe his intention has been to keep the woman locked up for several years.

“We also suspect him of planning this for years. Among other things, he has built the bunker to bring one or more victims.”

The doctor has admitted drugging, kidnapping and holding the woman against her will. He denies rape.
