IDF Chief Eisenkot Makes Secret Visit To Brussels

IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot

IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot made a secret visit to Brussels on Monday, several days after Belgium, which is facing the threat of terror attacks, went on high alert and declared a state of emergency in its capital city.

The IDF chief’s security team was initially wary of going ahead with the trip in light of the sensitive state of security in Brussels, where hundreds of troops were patrolling the streets.

During his 24-hour-long visit, Eisenkot met with the head of the US European Command.
