June 29 (UPI) — The Backstreet Boys performed their 1999 hit song “I Want It That Way” with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Thursday using classroom instruments.

The boy band and late night host was joined by Tonight Show band The Roots to recreate the song using items such as wood blocks, triangles, tambourines, a xylophon and a ukulele, among others.

Backstreet Boys, Fallon and The Roots were all seen wearing matching white outfits for the performance.

The Backstreet Boys, consisting of members Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie D, and Kevin Richardson, also performed their new single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” onstage to close out The Tonight Show.

“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” the Backstreet Boys’ first new single in five years, is set to appear on the group’s upcoming ninth studio album.
