‘Clayface’ molds DC Studios’ first horror movie

April 22 (UPI) — Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios released the teaser trailer for Clayface on Wednesday. The horror film opens Oct. 23.

Clayface is a Batman villain and one of the shots shows a Gotham City Police car. Most of the one-minute trailer shows Tom Rhys Harries lying on a hospital bed with his face covered in bandages.

Brief flashbacks show Harries as a handsome movie star and bad guys cutting his face. The end of the teaser shows his face mold like clay.

Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass creator Mike Flanagan cowrote the script with Hossein Amini, from a story by Flanagan. James Watkins directs.

Naomie Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan also star. James Gunn and Peter Safran produce as heads of DC Studios, along with The Batman director Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris.
