Sept. 26 (UPI) — Emilia Clarke has finished filming scenes for her role in Disney and Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars standalone film about a young Han Solo.
Clarke’s completion was announced on Instagram recently through another on-set photo shared by the film’s director, Ron Howard.
“#emiliaclarke gave us a terrific performance & left! She completed principal photography and is off on her next adventure,” Howard captioned the image on Instagram which features himself taking a selfie with the Game of Thrones star.
“Busy girl. We miss her already! Talented & great to work with #UntitledHanSoloMovie,” he continued.
Clarke, who is smiling in the photo, appears with bangs which could potentially hint at how her character will appear in the film. It remains unknown what character the 30-year-old is portraying or how she ties into Han Solo.
Clarke is a part of a cast that also includes Alden Ehrenreich stepping into the role made famous by Harrison Ford, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson and Thandie Newton.
The on-set photo is the latest shared by Howard on social media who has previously given fans a cryptic image that hints at the appearance of the Kessel Run, a small taste of how Glover will look as Lando and a glimpse at a new droid.
Howard took over directing duties on the film in June in place of filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller who were booted off the project over “different creative visions.”
The untitled Han Solo film is set to open in theaters on May 25, 2018.
