Eritrea to send delegation to Ethiopia for talks: envoys

Addis Ababa (AFP) – Eritrea will send a delegation to longtime-foe Ethiopia, two of its ambassadors said Wednesday, after Addis Ababa announced it would honor a peace agreement between the two nations that it had previously refused to implement.

“President Isaias (Afwerki) announced today that Eritrea shall dispatch [a] delegation to Addis Ababa to a constructive engagement with Ethiopia,” Estifanos Afeworki, Eritrea’s ambassador to Japan, said on Twitter in comments echoed by his counterpart in Kenya.
