First images released of ‘Trolls’ characters played by Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse

LOS ANGELES, April 14 (UPI) — Zooey Deschanel and Christopher Mintz-Plasse tweeted out the first-look images of them as their cartoon characters in the upcoming movie Trolls Thursday.

“The most important news you’ll see today. First look at my new animated flick trolls!!!!” Mintz-Plasse said in his post.

“Squad goals with @MintzPlasse, @JohnCleese and #ChristineBaranski!” read Deschanel’s tweet.

Both messages featured photos of Trolls cast members Mintz-Plasse, Deschanel, John Cleese and Christine Baranski, alongside their animated alter-egos.

Justin Timberlake is serving as executive music producer and is penning original tunes for the movie, which is due in theaters Nov. 4.

He and Anna Kendrick will also lend their voices to characters in the cartoon adventure.
