Feb. 18 (UPI) — Apple TV released a trailer for Imperfect Woman, an eight-episode psychological thriller series starring Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss.
The series, based on the novel of the same name by Araminta Hall, stars Washington, Moss and Kate Mara as three women whose decades-long friendship is shattered by Mara’s character’s sudden death under suspicious circumstances.
“The unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably,” the official synopsis reads. “As the investigation unfolds, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.”
Annie Weisman, who created the series for television, serves as showrunner.
The series also stars Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, Wilson Bethel and Sherri Saum.
Weisman, Moss and Washington also serve as executive producers.
The first two episodes of Imperfect Woman premiere March 18 on Apple TV, with subsequent episodes premiering Wednesdays through April 28.
