Kurt Russell’s ‘Monarch’ Season 2 to premiere Feb. 27

Nov. 13 (UPI) — Season 2 of Kurt Russell’s time-hopping sci-fi drama, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, is to premiere on Apple TV Feb. 27.

Russell and his real-life son Wyatt play hero Lee Shaw at different ages, interacting with scientists and government agencies that deal with enormous, dangerous creatures such as Godzilla and King Kong.

“Season 1 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings looking to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw, taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows,” a synopsis said. “Season 2 will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance.”

The cast also includes Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett and Anders Holm.
