Macron and Trump spoke Tuesday on ‘peace and stability in Middle East’: Elysee

Paris (AFP) – French President Emmanuel Macron spoke by telephone Tuesday with Donald Trump, just hours before the |US president is widely expected to pull out of a key nuclear deal with Iran, his office said.

In a terse statement, the Elysee Palace said only that the two men “discussed matters relating to peace and stability in the Middle East,” with no specific mention of the Iran deal.
